Salute Oral and Facial Surgery is proud to announce our practice. My Italian heritage enticed me to choose the name Salute which, in Italian means a “Toast To Your Health”. The practice opened in October 2005 and our staff is very anxious to assist you and care for you. The office is conveniently located at the corner of Braker Lane and North Mopac Expressway in the Braker Pointe 10801-2 building. 

We offer flexible office hours. We can provide easy and immediate access to care and emergency cases are welcome. The office is decorated in a Tuscan style with warm earth tone colors and is a state of the art facility.  Our staff is Spanish bilingual, very friendly, enthusiastic, caring, professional and our dental/surgical assistants are Texas Certified Registered Dental assistants. We offer a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery services to include Dentoalveolar surgery, Implants, bone regeneration, wisdom teeth removal, the treatment of Maxillofacial trauma, oral pathology, Orthognathic surgery, limited Facial cosmetic surgery, Pediatric oral surgery and IV sedation anesthesia and non-IV sedation and local anesthetic with nitrous oxide.
 
I graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and practiced as a general dentist for 5 years in the Indian Health Service and US Army before starting my oral surgery training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. I served in the US Army for 14 years and had various assignment locations to include deployment to Kuwait in 2002.  In the Army, I received dozens of awards and medals during my army career including the prestigious US Army Meritorious Service Medal and US Army Commendation Medal (2 awards), US Army Achiement Medal, US Army National Defense Medal, US Army Global War on Terrorism Medal. 

While having my practice open in Austin, Texas I served the El Paso community for over 10 years and received the Las Mericas Immigrant Advocacy Center “Border Heroes Award Winner Decade Award” (2013).

Additionally, I serve on the Facial Trauma Service Teams (Level 1) at Dell Seton Medical Center (formerly Brackenridge Hospital), Dell Children’s Medical Center, and University Medical Center of El Paso for Maxillofacial/trauma injuries. 

I am a Board Certified in both the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology.  I am also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillowfacial Surgeons and a certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  A Member of the Texas Dental Association, a Member of the American Dental Association, a Member of the Texas Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomat of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery  In October 2018 I became a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons (I am currently the only Oral Surgeon in the Austin and surrounding area with this honor).  About (FACS) Fellow of American College of Surgeons:  The name means that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have pass a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Henry (Hank) W. Marcantoni, Austin, TX practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal, oral, neck and facial biopsies  and oral lesion removal, removal of any teeth, including wisdom teeth and Expose and Bond procedures needed for orthodontic cases. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures.  Salute Oral and Facial Surgery is excited to be a part of the Austin Community (and surrounding areas) and we look forward to serving and caring for our patients.

Dr. Marcantoni’s staff is trained in assisting with nitrous oxide, non-IV sedation and I.V. sedation under monitored care within our state of the art office setting.  The surgical dental assistants are Texas Certified Registered Dental Assistants whom have complete their Basic Life Support Certification and Adult Cardiac Life Support Certification, along with all Hippa and OSHA compliant courses and continue to grow their medical/dental education.
